Gordon Brothers welcomes new winemaker

June 1, 2006 – Pasco, Wash. – After an extensive nationwide search, Gordon Brothers Cellars has announced that Tim Henley will take over winemaking duties for the brand.

Tim has ten years experience in the wine industry and a Bachelor’s degree in Enology from CSU Fresno. His work experience includes assistant winemaker at Luna Vineyards and most recently Pine Ridge Winery – both in Napa, Calif. Tim is ready to take on the position of lead winemaker, and it appears Gordon Brothers is the perfect place for him to do just that.  He states: “When I interviewed with the Gordons I immediately felt at home.  After seeing the winery and the vineyards I was convinced that joining the Gordon Brothers team was the right move for me and my family.” Tim and his wife, Jennifer moved to Pasco with their 19-month-old daughter last month.

“We are extremely happy to have someone with Tim’s experience and capabilities on staff at Gordon Brothers,” said Jeff Gordon, owner of Gordon Brothers Cellars.  “Tim and his family are a perfect fit with ours, and we are confident he will add to the quality of wines that we produce.”

Gordon Brothers Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Columbia Valley of Washington state. Founded in 1980, Gordon Brothers wines are 100 percent Estate Grown and include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Late Harvest Gewurztraminer, and their signature Bordeaux-style blend, “Tradition.”  For more information about Gordon Brothers Winery, visit http://www.gordonwines.com.
